This is Nick. With your help, we are going to send him to FD camp this summer.
Nick has been fighting stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of cancer that develops in various muscles which typically occurs in older children and teenagers. He attended camp for his first time last year. After attending he formed "Team Beyond Cancer", with 3 other campers in order to compete in a series of adventure races to raise money for First Descents. Unfortunately he isn't able to compete with his team because of a relapse in his cancer. First Descents means so much to him that he is is altering his chemotherapy so he can attend camp this summer. When we asked him what First Descents means to him he answered, "It is a mental experience that reminds me how much I love life, which makes fighting cancer that much easier. It is the best experience I've ever had...so much love!!!" Please help us make this happen for him!!!
