Small World

Yesterday I heard from an old college friend for the first time in years. Thanks to another friend forwarding our intro email around, we were reconnected.

Her letter back to me, thanking us, was touching, inspiring, and a great motivation! It seems her sister is an ovarian cancer survivor and will be attending a First Descents camp this summer!

I flinch every time I send a mass email. So often they are met with a groan and wind up in the recycle bin before they're read. I've been guilty of this myself. (OK Aunt Jenny, I admit it. I'm sorry I deleted the gripping account of your Shakertown visit, complete with quilting video, without reading it) Hearing back from Lissa, and learning about her sister makes it worthwhile. Consider this my advance apology to your inbox, I'm going to be filling them soon.

In other "small" news. Found this today, Bella is pumped.
