3 Crazy Ideas

So the rain finally cleared just before sunset and Pam and I decided to ride down to our local coffee shop and do a little brainstorming. We came up with some weird ideas, I thought I'd share my 3 favorite. let me know what you think.

1 Sponsor a Camper. Our goal is to send 10 people to camp, why not feature them one at a time? That way people can follow along and see what it's going to take to get each person to camp. That way a donor could see that "John" needs $250 more to go to , and make a gift based on that. Maybe someone will see "Sally's" story on our blog and step up and sponsor her entirely.

2 Bet on us. Challenge us to perform better by "betting" on how well we do in a particular race. Hopefully I'll have our tentative race calender up on the site allowing you to see when and where we are racing. Then a donor could commit to giving X for a finish, 2X for a podium, and 3X for a win. Pick a race, challenge us to place.

3 I want to ride through all 48 continental US states. I know this one may seem a little out there. OK I've heard of people riding across-country, but has anyone ridden through all 48? I have no idea how long this would even take. Going to need some serious planning and sponsorship for this one. Pam's favorite part of this plan is that it seems like something that would get us on the Ellen show. (Under-employment guilty pleasure #113, watching the Ellen show)
